The Valley of Freeport was chartered in 1867.  The current Freeport Masonic Temple was built in 1928 and is the home of Evergreen Lodge, York Rite Bodies - Chapter #23, Freeport Commandery #7 and Council #39.  Freeport DeMolay, and White Shrine, as well as Freeport Scottish Rite Bodies.

The Scottish Rite Bodies meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM.  We also have an annual meeting in May and both a Spring and Fall Reunion.  We offer many events to our membership that are also open to the public, including golf outings, dinner theatres and concerts.  Our Grand Ballroom, Crystal Room and auditorium are available to rent by community members for their events.
